With breakfast being the most important meal, it is essential to feed your body with healthy fuel to ensure a successful and productive day. Avocado chia toast is packed with protein and omega 3's that will help keep you fuller for longer while also providing you with loads positive energy to tackle the day. This recipe is sweet, savory and overwhelmingly satisfying making it an ultimate breakfast must!
Ingredients:
-2 pieces of your favorite grain bread (gluten free options: Quinoa bread)

-1/2 tablespoon chia seeds
-pinch of sea salt

First, scoop the insides of half an avocado into a mixing ball and mash together until smooth. You want to use a ripe, ready to use avocado for this recipe since it acts as a natural buttery topping.
Next, put your toast in the oven and let it become crispy and golden brown. (about 4 minutes) If you like your toast softer, reduce the toasting time by about a minute.
While the bread is toasting, measure out 1/2 a table spoon of chia seeds. While chia seeds do not add much flavor to a recipe, they add delightful texture and they are packed with fiber and protein. The way I see it, Chia seeds are quite the super food ingredient.
When the toast is ready, spread the mashed avocado over the warm toast. The warmth from the toast helps make the avocado nice and spreadable. Continue spreading until you have a nice even layer of avocado over the toast.
After you have attained a thick even layer of avocado on your toast, sprinkle the chia seeds and a pinch of coarse sea salt over the avocado. For a sweet finish, drizzle a bit of agave nectar over the top of your toast. A little goes a long way with the agave but the extra punch of sweetness mixed with the salty bite of the sea salt makes for an ultimate flavor!
